Through its engagement and relationship with its industry partners and government stakeholders, the CRDAC ensures to communicate the needs of the Conklin community so that together we can positively influence individual and community growth through training and employment opportunities.
Conklin’s Resume Bank
Are you a Conklin resident and looking for an employment opportunity?
We want to know!
From time to time, our industry partners are looking to understand our current local labour pool. When an opportunity arises, a resume bank will help allow us identify and promote prospective candidates in Conklin and help by relaying this to the surrounding industry.
With the help of a resume bank, the CRDAC can help target local job seekers and promote them to potential employers and most specifically our industry partners.
Ready to send your resume?
Make sure your resume includes all skills, education, abilities, certifications, etc. Include resume sections such as:
- Contact information – how can potential employers contact you?
- Objective – what are you looking for…part time? full-time? certain industry? Can also be stated in your cover letter.
- Key highlights – what are some key skillsets or experience you wish to highlight?
- Employment experience – where have you worked and what is your work experience?
- Education – including all certifications, tickets, etc.
- Abilities – list all abilities and special skills that you have either attained through work or education.
- Volunteerism – don’t forget to show off any volunteer work you have participated in or any special awards!

Labour and Business Needs Survey
The CRDAC has successfully received a government grant to conduct a Labour and Business Needs Survey in the community of Conklin.
This survey will help our organization, government, and/or other agencies help understand and address employer needs, get a good understanding of current opportunities and challenges or barriers to employment for local residents.
The initiative will have two separate surveys:
Conklin Labour Force Survey – for Conklin residents over the age of 15.
Conklin Business Needs Survey – for businesses/industry in Conklin and surrounding area
The data from these surveys will create a baseline data for some of the following parameters:
- Identify skills gaps/address skills shortages to allow for participation in the labour market.
- Identify employer needs for attraction / retention of employees.
- Gather statistics on unemployed/marginally employed Conklin residents.
- Collect statistics to determine what skills and training is required to meet the employer needs.
- Identify youth career pathways for the next 3-5 years in the community.
- Identify external supports and programming to support training/employment/career development activities in community.
- Use findings from survey to develop a strategy to address the most critical career and employment needs, with an action plan to address all priorities in the next 2 – 3 years.
- Engage local businesses, industry, government and community in action planning exercise.
This initiative is supported by the Governments of Canada and Alberta through a grant.

Career Readiness Program
In partnership with Keyano College, CRDAC welcomes the the Career Readiness Program – a six-week practical course to build job-ready skills for up to 10 Conklin residents.
Key focus areas:
- Career Planning and direction
- Life and personal readiness skills
- Workplace communications, time management, and job search
- Resume writing and interview skills
- Computer basics
- Safety training (workplace, food safety, various tickets)
- Class 7 Driver’s License preparation
Key Details:
- Duration: 6 weeks
- Start: February 17, 2026
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Location: Multiplex, second floor training classroom
