The Wood Buffalo Environmental Association (WBEA) is hosting it’s first ever Indigenous Youth Science Showcase on Friday March 13, 2026. This showcase provides Indigenous Youth from across the RMWB with an opportunity to share their interest in science and the environment. Registration is now open and can be completed by visiting the WBEA website.
The theme for this year’s showcase is ‘Air Quality’. Projects can range from traditional science experiments to creative artwork – no idea is too big or too small.
All projects will be evaluated based on three key criteria.
To be eligible for the showcase, projects should:
- Address air quality (such as concerns, gaps, or opportunities)
- Include a finding, solution, or recommendation
- Incorporate a visual component
