POSITION TYPE:

Reporting to the Mechanical Lead, this position will coordinate higher risk maintenance work using effective working relationships with service providers on-site. This role confirms that all external service provider support is prepared and engaged in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy of all work orders and scopes for proper execution in a safe manner.
This is a Fly-In, Fly-Out position, working on a 7&7 rotation (Tuesday – Tuesday), flying out of Calgary or Edmonton.

Maintenance Coordinator, Christina Lake / Conklin, Alberta
YOUR DAY TO DAY:
  • Provide and demonstrate safety leadership in accordance with MEG programs, inspiring and motivating others to ensure safety in all activities to take care of themselves and others.
  • Supervise and coordinate complex and critical scopes of work within the maintenance department.
  • Acts as an area lead to organize, coordinate and manager service providers ensuring safe work practices area aligned with the scope of work.
  • Is responsible for reviewing work orders and scopes with operations and maintenance teams to ensure proper execution within planned budgets.
  • Collaborates with maintenance and operations teams to seek innovative solutions and continuously improve plans to met or exceed budget and timing targets.
  • Builds effective working relationships with enteral providers to ensure timely execution of support services such as vac trucks, steamers, and other services as necessary.
  • Signs off on all Labour, Equipment, Material (LEMS) for large work scopes particularly outages for operations and maintenance activities.
  • Train and evaluate Operations and Maintenance staff on programs such as bolt-ups and PEIM’s.
  • Accountable to peer review pipefitting, scaffolding, and insulation works as required.
  • Utilize CMMs as a tool to coordinate, measure, forecast, and report on maintenance activities.
WHAT YOU BRING TO MEG:
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • A Journeymen Millwright or Pipefitter ticket with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector
  • Strong relationship skills and a proven ability to build effective working relationships with other teams and providers
  • Previous experience in planning or schedule is considered an asset. Excellent time management and organizational skills required.
  • Demonstrated safety leadership skills that have been utilized in day-to-day to help drive a strong safety culture
