The CRDAC is pleased to announce that Peter Fortna has recently published an article in Prairie History concerning the community’s history titled “Wahkotowin, Keemooch, and Home: A History of the Conklin Métis Community, 1886-2020.”
Indigenous Community Based Monitoring Advisory Committee
In April 2023, members attended the Indigenous Community Based Monitoring Advisory Committee (ICBMAC)’s Regional Gathering at Narrow Lake near Athabasca, Alberta.
Conklin’s Berry Group
In June 2023, the Conklin Berry Group met to discuss findings from the 2022 field season, and plan harvesting for the 2023 season. Check out our photo gallery from last two years.
