An Evacuation Alert is still in effect. Friendly reminder that an ALERT means to be ready. An ORDER means to get out:
It is important that you are prepared in the case that the situation changes. Emergencies happen quickly. Please be advised that the RMWB is providing or assigning the following resources:
- Busses are ready and on standby;
- Arrangements will be made to help with pets;
- Hotel rooms are blocked and food is arranged;
- RCMP and Bylaw will be involved if we move to an evacuation order; and
- A command post will be set up in Fort McMurray that will help evacuees with access to services.
