Fire Services were able to get a clearer reading of the fire, it is now 64,743 hectares in size and is still out of control. Cooler temperatures and winds are favourable. It is not as dry as expected although there hasn’t been much rain on the fire.
Conklin’s fireguard is complete and crews are working to finish the one in Janvier.
The alert remains in place and RMWB remains activated; staff are ready should things change. Systems are set up and tested daily.
Heavy helicopter presence can be expected as they continue to bucket the fire.
