WILDFIRE LWF148 (Janvier)
An update from Alberta Forestry:
Fire behaviour has been “favourable” so far today. The fire has not spread toward the community. There is activity on the southwest of the fire and pick up slightly due to the time of the day; similar to yesterday. Forestry has spent all day working from the air and ground with multiple resources. Dozer equipment will be working through the night to establish a guard.
Current winds are okay. Tomorrow, the winds change to be coming from the southeast, which is favourable and again, pushing away from the community and into more of the remote areas.
