Recovery Alberta Mental Health and Addiction Services is pleased to present a 2-week Virtual Treatment Program offered by Wood Buffalo Addiction and Mental Health Services. There is NO COST associated with this programming with a valid Alberta Health Card.
About the Program:
This is a two-week, short-term program, for individuals (aged 18 year or older) who have been experiencing negative consequences because of their alcohol use, substance use, and/or gambling.
The program:
- Provides a foundation of information and skills for people to succeed in recovery.
- Combines structured workshops with small group counselling sessions.
- Provides a supportive environment that encourages participation.
- Emphasizes long term healthy attitudes, thinking and behaviors.
- Encourages participants to consider abstinence as a lifelong option.

What you can gain:
- Life Skills – problem solving, communication, stress management, boundaries, anger management, self-esteem, and relapse prevention.
- Community – resources explained, such as recreation facilities and services, education support, volunteer service, and treatment planning.
- Confidence – create a treatment plan, recovery plan, and new thought processes so that YOU CAN LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST.
Eligibility:
- 18+ years old
- Needing support with the use of alcohol, substances, or gambling.
- Access to a computer with audio & video capabilities.
- Attend all programming and participate fully.
