Various positions are needed.
The CRDAC is seeking to fill various open positions to help us facilitate this years’ Conklin Cultural Harvesting Camp. Be sure to apply before the deadline of Friday, July 19, 2024. Below are the temporary/contract positions available:
Main Cooks
August 22 – 26
2 positions available
- Prepare, manage, and coordinate meals.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper food handling.
- Food Safe Handling Certificate required.
Cooking Aides
August 22 – 26
2 positions available
- Assist Main Cooks, as required.
- Preparation and coordination of meals.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper food handling.
Kitchen Labourer
August 23 – 25
1 position available
- Assist kitchen staff, as required.
- Maintain garbage and fire throughout the day.
- Other repairs or general tasks, as needed.
General Labourer
August 21-22, 26-27
4 positions available
- Setting up and taking down the canvas tents and tipis.
- Ensure proper setup, safety, storage, and clean-up.
- Assist in other repairs or general tasks.
Site Crew Members
August 19 – 20
2 positions available
- Preparation and cleaning of site prior to the event day.
- Mow and weed-eat area of camp location.
- Construct two (2) drying racks and twenty (20) bannock meat sticks.
Camp Labourer
August 21-22, 26-27
1 position available
- Assist in the clean-up of the camp site, as required.
- Maintain garbage and fire throughout the day.
- Assist in other repairs or general tasks, as needed.
Security Officer
August 21 – 26

- Ensure site is secure by patrolling property and monitoring equipment and access points to prevent any losses or damage.
- Observe, investigate and report any disturbances or unusual activities.
Shuttle Driver
August 21 – 27
1 position available
- Drive to and from various locations within the vicinity of Conklin and area and the camp site.
- Follow a specific transportation schedule.
- Assist passengers with boarding/exiting.
