The CRDAC is seeking to fill various temporary labour positions to help us facilitate this years’ Conklin Métis Culture Camp. Be sure to apply before the deadline of Friday, July 10, 2026. Below are the temporary/contract positions available:
Main Cooks
August 6 – 10
2 positions available
- Prepare, manage, and coordinate meals.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper food handling.
- Food Safe Handling Certificate required.
Cook Aides
August 6 – 10
2 positions available
- Assist Main Cooks, as required.
- Preparation and coordination of meals.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper food handling.
Kitchen Labourer
August 7 – 9
1 position available
- Assist kitchen staff, as required.
- Maintain garbage and fire throughout the day.
- Assist in other general tasks, as needed.
General Labourer
August 5-6, 10-11
8 positions available
- Setting up and taking down the canvas tents and tipis.
- Ensure proper setup, safety, storage, and clean-up.
- Assist in other general tasks.
Site Crew Members
August 3- 4
2 positions available
- Preparation and cleaning of site prior to the event day.
- Mow and weed-eat area of camp location.
- Construct 2 drying racks and 20 bannock sticks.
Camp Labourer
August 7 – 9
1 position available
- Assist in the clean-up of the camp site, as required.
- Maintain garbage and fire throughout the day.
- Assist in other general tasks, as needed.
Security Officer
August 5 – 10
2 positions available
- Ensure site is secure by patrolling property and monitoring equipment and access points to prevent any losses or damage.
- Observe, investigate and report any disturbances or unusual activities.
