New Conklin Cultural Harvesting Camp Committee

May 30, 2023 | Announcement

The Conklin Resource Development Advisory Committee (“CRDAC”) is looking for three (3) individuals among our CRDAC membership and one (1) youth to participate and be a part of our new Conklin Cultural Harvesting Camp Committee to help with the facilitation of this years’ Conklin Cultural Harvesting Camp (the “Culture Camp”).

Purpose

The purpose of the Culture Camp is to ensure the community of Conklin is maintaining its culture and heritage alive and well – a way where we can pass on our cherished traditional knowledge unto our youths and families. The CRDAC recognizes that this event is one of the most important events for Conklin and thus it is important that not only do we rely on community volunteers to ensure true success, but also on your valued input in any areas of improvement to enhance the overall experience.

Requirements

All participants must be an active member of the CRDAC with the exception of the youth member. The youth must be between the ages of 16 and 25 years and a resident of Conklin. The term shall conclude after the final Camp of the year is completed. Please note that this is a volunteer Committee and thus no compensation of service will be offered.

If you are willing to be a part of this year’s Conklin Cultural Harvesting Camp Committee, please complete the Application Form herein and submit to our Events Coordinator, Kim Desjarlais at kimd@crdac.ca or call (780) 799-9761. The deadline to submit your application is Monday, June 19, 2023.
