LWF090 Community Member Update from Alberta Forestry and Parks

LWF090 was detected Monday afternoon. It is OUT OF CONTROL at 12,255ha 31km southeast of Conklin and 22km southwest of CPFN Winefred Lake 194B.
Helicopters, air tankers, dozer groups and crews have been working on the fire since Monday afternoon. Crews were removed yesterday and will be returned when conditions are safe. Helicopters are bucketing on the north end where the fire is most active.
Fire is very active in coniferous stands and moving north, northwest this afternoon.

Temperatures will range from 24-34°C with winds from the south at 20km/hr gusting to 40km/hr. There is a chance of thunderstorms overnight tonight and winds changing from the northwest for Friday.
