LWF090 was detected Monday afternoon. It is OUT OF CONTROL at approximately 71,987ha 17.8km east of Conklin.
Alberta Wildfire and RMWB are working together to review structure protection plans as a precaution within the community of Conklin as well as clearing old fire guards south of the community.
Heavy smoke this morning hampered resources; fire activity picked up in the afternoon on the northwest side. Helicopters, crews and equipment worked on the fire today. Heavy smoke is expected to roll in tonight from fires to the west.

Tonight, winds will be from the northwest. Sunday has a high of 15°C with winds from the west/northwest at 25km/hr gusting 60km/hr with 70% chance of rain.
