A Berry Monitoring Update
In June 2023, the Conklin Berry Group met to discuss findings from the 2022 field season, and plan harvesting for the 2023 season. At the meeting, the Group discussed how the act of berry harvesting is a representation of the community’s healthy wahkotowin, and that by picking berries community members are helping heal the land, culture, and community.
