Christina Lake Monitoring

Sep 28, 2021 | Announcement

Participants Needed

The CRDAC, in conjunction with Higher Ground Consulting, is continuing their water monitoring of Christina Lake and its tributaries. This monitoring is essential to understand the impact from the surrounding oil and gas developments in the region.

Two to three times each year, the environmental team and community members travel by fishing boat to monitor 13 different locations around Christina Lake evaluating water quality and quantity.

We are looking for two individuals to participate in the Christina Lake Monitoring Program. This is an educational opportunity to get training in water sampling while working with two experienced field technicians. Participants will be working in rivers and boats for the duration of the day.

The Christina Lake Monitoring Program is funded by Environment and Climate Change Canada.
