The Conklin Resource Development Advisory Committee (CRDAC) has submitted a request to the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) to amend the Conklin Area Structure Plan (ASP) to enable the expansion of the local housing inventory in the Hamlet.
In 2021, the CRDAC engaged Associated Engineering (AE) to assist in preparing plans to subdivide and service five (5) parcels owned by the CRDAC to help alleviate the current shortage of adequate housing in the community. During this process, it was noted that the ASP places restrictions on the size of lots that could be subdivided. To successfully move forward with the Indigenous Housing Initiative (IHI) between CRDAC and Cenovus, the ASP Amendment must be approved.
Civic address of the parcels to allow for lot sizes less than 0.4 hectares:
103 Pine Lane
159 Pine Lane
130 Father Mercredi’s Trail
175 Pine Lane
178 Pine Lane
In February 2022, the CRDAC/AE hosted a virtual meeting and included a consultation package for information which included the summary of proposed amendments. Click HERE for more information or click below to view the consultation package that was presented to the community in February.
